Valocordin (contains Phenobarbital, "non Phyto")
Pharmacological action: antispasmodic, vasodilator , sedative, hypnotic .
Indications: Irritability, anxiety , insomnia , including sleep disorders , neurosis, dystonia , false angina , tachycardia, koronarospazm (not pronounced ) , ischemic heart disease , hypertension (early stages ) , intestinal and biliary colic .
Contraindications: hypersensitivity to bromine , acute hepatic porphyria, severe renal dysfunction and liver , breast-feeding .
Pregnancy and breast-feeding: With caution during pregnancy ( prescription-only ) . At the time of treatment should stop breastfeeding.
Side effects : dyspeptic phenomena , reducing the rate of reaction , allergic reaction ( for bromine) , with prolonged use - drug addiction, bromism , with a sharp lifting phenomenon possible withdrawal.
Interaction: Enhances the effect of ( mutually) CNS depressants (including alcohol ) , weakens - coumarin derivatives , griseofulvin , corticosteroids , oral contraceptives increases the toxicity of methotrexate. Effect is enhanced by valproic acid and its preparations.
